Chair Rentals
Heartland Event Rentals delivers chairs to Austin and the surrounding areas. We carry white padded resin chairs (i.e. garden chairs), white plastic folding chairs, and kids chairs. We are well known as providing some of the cleanest rentals in the area.

Which type of chair is right for my event?
Both of our adult chairs seat a guest safely and comfortably for the length of a normal event. The choice comes down to how long people will be sitting and how much the chairs will show up in your photographs.
White padded resin chairs are the classier option. The cushioned seat makes a difference over a long seated dinner, the resin resembles painted wood which reads as finished rather than functional. These are what most of our wedding and formal-dinner customers choose.
White plastic folding chairs are the practical option. They’re lighter (which matters if chairs are being moved around during your event) and cost less to rent (which can free up your budget for other parts of your event). For a backyard party, a graduation, a company picnic, or a church event, these are a great option that will still look good and perform well.
Do I need to order chair covers?
Generally no, and we’ll say so before recommending that you spend money on doing so.
All of our chairs are white, which means they already coordinate well with almost any color palette. They’re cleaned very thoroughly after every event, so they arrive looking spotless and bright. Covering them up would usually be solving a problem you don’t have.
Dressing chairs earns its cost in two specific situations.
When you want to add a splash of a particular color. A chair sash is the cheapest way to pull your chairs into a certain palette. If your linens are sage and your flowers are cream, a sash brings the chairs into the same conversation instead of leaving them as white punctuation around the room.
When the room needs to read as formal. A covered and sashed chair photographs differently than a bare one. For a wedding reception, a gala, an anniversary party, or a formal fundraiser, chair dressing is a large part of what separates “a room with chairs in it” from “a designed room.”
Everything else is in between, and the honest answer is that it’s your call rather than a rule.
Chair covers, sashes, and ties
Chair covers are fitted fabric that goes over the whole chair, from the top of the back down to the floor. A cover changes the shape of the chair as much as the color, turning a folding chair into something closer to a banquet chair. Our chair covers fit both of our adult chairs.
Sashes are a wide band of fabric tied around the back of the chair, usually finished in a bow, a knot, or a loose drape. They’re the lighter-touch option: the chair stays visible, but it picks up your color. Sashes work on either chair, and they go on faster than covers, which matters if you’re dressing 150 of them.
Ties and bands are narrower than a sash and sit flatter against the chair. They read as more modern and less traditional than a bow, and they suit events where you want a hint of color without the fabric becoming the feature.
We carry covers, sashes, and ties in whatever color you need. If you’re not sure what a color looks like in a room, we’ll send you photos of it in use.
Setup includes dressing your chairs. If you order covers or sashes, our crew puts them on and ties them at setup. You will not be tying 150 bows the morning of your event.
